Founder's Notes

Living in inland San Diego County, I’ve had way too much first-hand experience with wildfires. Even as a seasoned fire veteran, I am heartbroken by the extent of devastation caused by October’s windblown rampages in both ends of the state. Our report details two of what were probably hundreds of evacuations, all of them executed by brave, selfless members of our equestrian community – not to mention some non-horsey people who said yes when a horse was handed to them in an Albertson’s parking lot in Orange County!
