New Rules

USEF makes changes to accountability for drugs & medication policies.

The USEF Board of Directors recently approved a rule change, which expands the range of responsible parties for violations of the USEF’s Drugs and Medications rules. As of Dec 1, 2015, the rule will include additional categories of individuals who are responsible and accountable parties, which are defined as Persons Responsible and Support Personnel.

Ready With Your Records?

New USEF vaccination rule takes effect Dec. 1. 
Beginning Dec. 1 of this year, the U.S. Equestrian Federation is requiring all horses at its sanctioned competitions to be vaccinated against equine influenza virus (EIV) and equine herpesvirus (EHV) within the previous six months. Anyone bringing horses onto the show grounds will need to have proof that those vaccinations are up to date. This is part of new USEF rule, GR 845.

Europe 101

USEF Developing Dressage Program experience offers ample lessons. Thanks to the USEF Developing Dressage Program and with funding assistance from the Courtney’s Quest Scholarship Award of Dressage4Kids Inc., and my parents Greg and Michele Vaughn, I was able to travel to Europe this summer with my Hanoverian stallion Donarweiss GGF to train and compete in the Under 25 divisions at Rotterdam and Hagen.
